We have over 40 years’ collective experience advising a variety of rural, regional and international businesses in Australia and globally.  


Georgiena Ryan (Principal Lawyer)

Principal Georgiena Ryan has experience acting as solicitor to family and farming businesses, initially in her home state of Queensland where she grew up and later in the New South Wales Riverina and Central West NSW.   

Georgiena has unique commercial and corporate experience having held in-house legal roles with a specialist international rural and agribusiness bank, and with a leading global agricultural asset manager, responsible for a significant irrigation and dryland farming portfolio across Australia.   

Georgiena is the only female Accredited Specialist in Business Law located in rural NSW and has a Masters in Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne.

Georgiena has special expertise in water law and irrigation and has been involved in some of the largest agribusiness transactions in Australia.

Georgiena lives in the south west slopes of NSW on her husband’s family farm.  She is supported by the following team members who all live regionally in NSW:


Jillian Edis (Lawyer)

Jillian Edis started her career working as lawyer for one of Australia’s largest family-owned agribusinesses. Jill has worked in London for one of the largest energy companies in the UK and in Australia for the Australian Energy Market Operator providing advice on regulatory, corporate and commercial matters.   Jill has a Masters in Commercial Law.  Jill is also part of a large family broadacre cropping enterprise in western New South Wales.


Sally Hawkins (Licensed Conveyancer)

Sally Hawkins has had a long career in the agricultural sector working in agronomy, produce buying and grain procurement. As our conveyancing extraordinaire, Sally has extensive book keeping experience and has recently completed her qualifications in conveyancing. Sally grew up in the southern NSW and spent many years in Moree before moving back to Wagga in 2019.

Sally works across all our conveyancing matters including rural property, residential, leasing and general property transactions.


Sophie Harris (Lawyer)

Sophie grew up on a farm in north west NSW and now lives in Illabo working in the Wagga office as a Lawyer. Sophie studied Law at the University of New England and has worked as a Paralegal in Sydney as well as with a property group working in investor relations and legal. Sophie has a passion for property law but works across all our commercial areas including succession & estates, general commercial and employment.


Taryn Gollasch (Lawyer)

Taryn Gollasch has over 15 years post admission experience in corporate and commercial law, both in private practice and in-house. She commenced her career working in a corporate law firm in Tokyo, followed by the Mergers and Acquisitions team at Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney. Taryn moved in-house for a global mining company in Sydney and then Singapore before later spending five years in-house in the Singapore commodities trading office for a French based global energy company. Taryn lives in the Wagga Wagga area with her family and when she isn’t lawyering she is actively involved in her family’s cropping and grazing business.

Taryn is currently completing her Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in Wills and Estates. Taryn is an accomplished commercial lawyer who has a special interest in the following areas of law:

Tina Cooper (Lawyer)

Tina Cooper spent over 10 years in marketing and management for ASX listed retail property groups, as well as a short marketing stint with a London-based mid-tier accounting firm before moving back to central west NSW. Tina has since worked in regional tourism and project management. Tina completed her transition to commercial lawyer working remotely with a boutique commercial law firm in Canberra specialising in employment, not for profits, and general commercial. Tina has a special interest in employment law and working with not for profit entities and has been involved in growing this area of practice within Regional Business Lawyers.

Tina has recently:

  • Provided contractor advice and drafted required contract;

  • Advised an employee on contractual rights;

  • Provided advice and steps for performance managing and terminating employees;

  • Drafted an Auspicing Agreement;

  • Negotiated a Deed of Release and provided advice on restraints;

  • Drafted and reviewed numerous employment policies;

  • Provided employment contract advice.
